Mercedes-Benz India has launched the all-new G 450d, marking a historic first for the country — the G-Class lineup is now available in diesel, petrol, and electric powertrains. Priced from ₹2.90 crore (ex-showroom, India), only 50 exclusive units will be available in the first phase.
Powered by a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder diesel engine paired with 48V mild hybrid technology, the G 450d delivers 270 kW (367 hp) and 750 Nm of torque, with an additional 15 kW electric boost. The SUV accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 5.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h, combining performance with efficiency.
Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said, “The G 450d reinforces our commitment to offer every G-Class customer a choice between diesel, petrol, and electric powertrains. It continues the legacy of the world’s longest-running luxury SUV nameplate while catering to the strong demand for diesel among our customers.”
