Eyewear major Lenskart is preparing to debut its first AI-powered smart glasses by late December, signalling its move toward becoming a technology-led lifestyle brand, according to industry sources.
Internally called “B by Lenskart Smartglasses”, the device will reportedly feature AI-enabled interactions, health tracking, and UPI payment support. The launch, built on Google’s Gemini 2.5 platform, is expected shortly after the company’s stock market debut on November 10, though pricing details remain undisclosed.
Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chipset, the smart glasses are designed for lightweight AR and AI-based experiences. The development follows Lenskart’s strategic partnership with Qualcomm, announced at the Snapdragon for India XR Day in July 2025, to co-create AR and AI solutions for Indian consumers.
The company recently launched a ₹7,278 crore IPO at a valuation nearing ₹70,000 crore (USD 8 billion), which was fully subscribed on day one. Over the past year, Lenskart has also invested in AI, XR, and computer vision startups, reinforcing its ambition to evolve from a D2C eyewear brand into a vision-tech ecosystem player.
If the rollout succeeds, Lenskart will be among the first Indian brands to commercialize AI-integrated eyewear, competing with Meta-Ray-Ban Smart Glasses and Amazon Echo Frames, while catering to India’s market needs in pricing and design.
