Reliance Retail Limited has completed the acquisition of the brand ‘Pahadi Local’ along with its business from Pahadi Goodness Private Limited. The acquisition marks Reliance Retail’s continued focus on building and scaling purpose-driven Indian beauty and wellness brands rooted in authenticity and sustainability.
‘Pahadi Local’ is an emerging beauty and wellness brand inspired by Himalayan traditions and indigenous ingredients. The brand has built a strong consumer base through nature-led formulations, conscious sourcing practices, and a focus on clean, minimal-processing skincare solutions.
Founded with the aim of bringing the purity of Himalayan ingredients into everyday personal care, the brand combines traditional wellness knowledge with modern formulation science. Its product portfolio highlights locally sourced ingredients, including Gutti Ka Tel (Apricot Kernel Oil), which has gained strong recognition among consumers seeking natural and effective skincare solutions.
Through this acquisition, Reliance Retail plans to leverage its omni-channel retail ecosystem, digital commerce capabilities, and supply chain strengths to scale the brand nationally. The company will expand Pahadi Local’s presence across physical retail formats and digital platforms while continuing to nurture its brand philosophy centred on sustainability and community engagement.
Importantly, the founding team of Pahadi Local will continue to remain involved in shaping the brand’s creative direction, product innovation, and long-term vision. The brand also works closely with women-led self-help groups across Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh, supporting local livelihoods and community development initiatives related to healthcare, education, and environmental conservation.
