Snapdeal witnessed strong demand for affordable fashion and lifestyle products this Mother’s Day, with emerging non-metro cities contributing over 80% of orders across women-focused categories between 1–10 May 2026. Cities including Lucknow, Jaipur, Kanpur, Ludhiana, Indore, Surat, Bhopal and Dehradun emerged as key growth markets, highlighting the increasing influence of aspirational shoppers beyond metros.

Women’s ethnic wear, handbags, fashion jewellery, watches and footwear were among the most purchased categories during the period. Notably, more than 80% of purchases across these segments were made at price points below ₹499, reflecting growing consumer preference for trend-led yet value-conscious shopping during special occasions.

On Mother’s Day, women-focused products dominated consumer searches on the platform, with women’s tops, kurta sets, sarees and watches featuring among the top searched keywords. The trends indicate rising demand for affordable fashion and everyday lifestyle products among digitally connected consumers in smaller cities.

The shopping behaviour also points to a broader shift towards intentional spending, where consumers are prioritising affordability, utility and style together while shopping online.

Commenting on the trend, Achint Setia said, “The Mother’s Day trends reflect how consumers across emerging centres are becoming increasingly active during new shopping occasions. Ecommerce is continuing to expand access to trend-led categories for aspirational shoppers across smaller markets, driving the next phase of consumption growth in India.”
