L&T Technology Services (LTTS) successfully concluded the ninth edition of TECHgium®, India’s largest engineering innovation platform for students, at its Mysuru campus. The 2026 edition recorded over 62,000 registrations from more than 540 engineering institutes across the country, marking a 60% increase over the previous edition and nearly 800% growth since its inception in 2016.

This year’s finalists presented innovative proofs-of-concept spanning AI, robotics, automation, smart sensing, and industrial safety. Solutions included robotic automation for medical diagnostics, AI-powered multilingual video localization, live AI captioning systems, Wi-Fi sensing for smart homes, and adaptive robotic arms designed for industrial operations.

The top honour was awarded to students from M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Engineering for their project on a NextGen Self-Charging Hybrid Scooter. Teams from RNS Institute of Technology and PSNA College of Engineering and Technology secured runner-up positions.

Padma Shri Dr. Shubha V Iyengar, veteran scientist from CSIR-NAL, said, “TECHgium® demonstrates how student-led innovation can evolve into impactful, industry-relevant engineering solutions.”

Rajeev Gupta, Executive Director & CFO, LTTS, added, “TECHgium® reflects India’s growing deep-tech engineering capabilities and the convergence of AI, domain expertise, and real-world problem-solving to shape the future of Engineering Intelligence.”
