Flipkart Group has announced a strategic partnership with Meta to expand creator-led commerce in India, enabling creators to tag products from Flipkart and Myntra directly within Facebook posts and Reels. The integration creates a seamless path from product discovery to purchase while opening new monetisation opportunities for creators.

The initiative allows consumers to discover products through creator content and complete purchases directly on Flipkart or Myntra. The rollout begins on Facebook, with plans to expand to Instagram in the next phase.

The collaboration reflects the growing role of creators in influencing shopping decisions, particularly among Gen Z consumers. Flipkart has been investing in creator-focused platforms and content-driven commerce initiatives over the past two years to support this shift in consumer behaviour.

The partnership is designed to deliver value across the ecosystem. Consumers gain a more convenient shopping experience, creators receive an additional income stream through affiliate commissions, and brands and sellers can reach highly engaged audiences through authentic recommendations.

According to the Flipkart-Bain & Company report, How India Shops Online 2026, Gen Z accounts for 40–45 per cent of India’s online shoppers and contributes nearly half of incremental e-retail orders, highlighting the increasing influence of social discovery on purchasing decisions.

Commenting on the launch, Ravi Iyer, CFO, Flipkart Group, said, “Two years ago, Flipkart recognised that GenZ was rewriting the rules of Indian retail. This partnership with Meta is a natural extension of that conviction. It gives creators a direct path from influence to entrepreneurship, and offers brands a way to reach consumers through content that feels real, not advertised.”

Arun Srinivas, Managing Director and Country Head, Meta India, added, “India is one of the most exciting creator economies in the world. By bringing together Meta’s discovery platforms and Flipkart’s marketplace infrastructure, we are creating a direct path from inspiration to income and helping businesses reach consumers through content that feels authentic, not advertised.”
