Dhan, one of India’s fastest-growing trading and investing platforms, has launched access to US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), enabling Indian investors to participate in some of the world’s largest companies and global investment themes through a regulated framework.

The offering is available through Raise IFSC Private Limited, Dhan’s wholly-owned subsidiary and a member of India INX operating under the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) framework in GIFT City. The service is supported by ViewTrade as the brokerage partner and GlomoPay as the payments technology provider.

With this launch, investors can access stocks listed on both the Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). Dhan has also extended several of its popular investing features to global markets, including SIPs in US stocks and ETFs, advanced order capabilities and integrated portfolio tracking with analytics.

The platform does not charge account maintenance or custody fees, while brokerage has been set at 0.25% of the transaction value.

Commenting on the launch, Pravin Jadhav, Founder and CEO of Dhan, said, “We are excited about presenting Dhan investors the opportunity to invest in global companies and brands that shape our daily lives. Investing internationally in US stocks had lacked clarity and direction until recent times. Dhan solves the same for Indian investors by offering US investing via the IFSC GIFT City route. We believe Indian investors seeking to diversify their portfolios through US equities should be able to do so through a trusted platform backed by a robust regulatory framework. That is precisely what we have built with Dhan.”

Dhan said the platform has been designed to provide a transparent investing experience with seamless fund transfers, clear transaction visibility and dedicated customer support. Dividend income will be subject to applicable US withholding taxes under the DTAA framework, while capital gains will be taxed in accordance with Indian tax regulations. The service is now available to all Dhan users through the Dhan app.
