Axis Mutual Fund has launched Axis Account Plus, a digital working capital management solution designed to help corporates and MSMEs efficiently manage surplus business funds. The platform enables businesses to invest idle cash in eligible Axis Mutual Fund debt and liquid schemes through a fully digital process, while offering enhanced governance, operational controls and transaction convenience.
The launch comes as businesses increasingly seek better ways to utilise surplus cash that remains idle between payment cycles and operational requirements. With an estimated ₹25 lakh crore parked in current accounts and more than 8.6 crore MSMEs registered on the Government of India’s Udyam portal, Axis Mutual Fund believes there is significant potential to improve capital efficiency through digital investment solutions.
Axis Account Plus offers an end-to-end online experience covering onboarding, KYC, folio creation and investments. The platform also provides same-day redemption for eligible transactions, maker-checker approval workflows, consolidated portfolio visibility across group companies, and dedicated relationship support through multiple channels.
Commenting on the launch, B. Gopkumar, MD & CEO, Axis AMC, said, “With more than 8.6 crore MSMEs registered on the Government of India’s Udyam platform and approximately ₹25 lakh crore estimated to be lying idle in current accounts, we see a significant opportunity. Through Axis Account Plus, we aim to help businesses deploy surplus funds more efficiently while providing digital convenience, robust governance through maker-checker workflows, and a solution that aligns with the needs of modern enterprises.”
With Axis Account Plus, Axis Mutual Fund aims to make surplus cash management more efficient by combining digital accessibility, operational controls and investment capabilities on a single platform, further strengthening its focus on innovation for corporate and MSME investors.
