Mercedes-Benz India recorded its highest-ever first-half sales in 2026, retailing 9,768 vehicles between January and June, a 9% increase from 9,013 units in H1 2025. The luxury carmaker also posted its best-ever Q2 performance, with sales rising 10% to 4,637 units during April-June 2026.
The growth was supported by new product launches, sustained demand across the Core and Top-End Luxury segments, and strong customer response to the new CLA BEV and V-Class. The Top-End Luxury portfolio grew by more than 20% in H1 2026 and accounted for a record 28% of the company’s overall sales. Mercedes-AMG sales increased 50% during the period.
“Mercedes-Benz’s strong growth in the first half of 2026 underlines the success of our strategy rooted in offering desirable products, elevated customer experience and transforming our network with a clear focus on getting closer to customers. The new V-Class and CLA BEV drove our best-ever H1 and Q2 sales,” said Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.
Mercedes-Benz also recorded growing demand for its battery electric vehicles. BEVs accounted for 14% of total sales in Q2 2026, while electric models contributed 25% of Top-End Luxury sales during H1. The EQS SUV remained the company’s highest-selling BEV, while the CLA BEV received strong customer response following its market introduction.
“The success of the new CLA BEV is an affirmation that Mercedes-Benz customers prefer owning the latest technology. The CLA BEV has propelled Mercedes-Benz’s BEV penetration to reach 14% in Q2 2026,” Iyer added.
Mercedes-Benz India added six new touchpoints in H1 2026 and plans further expansion in H2, including its entry into Varanasi and new luxury outlets across key markets.
