Flipkart Group, in partnership with PayU Finance, has launched Flipkart Pay Later, a new embedded credit solution that offers customers flexible repayment options directly at checkout across Flipkart, Myntra and Flipkart Minutes.

The offering provides three repayment choices: a Pay Later option with up to 30 days for repayment, a Pay in 3 facility that splits purchases into three instalments, and EMI plans ranging from three to twelve months for higher-value categories such as smartphones, electronics, appliances and furniture.

Designed to cater to both everyday purchases and big-ticket transactions, Flipkart Pay Later aims to make digital commerce more accessible for millions of Indian consumers. The solution will support purchases across categories including fashion, beauty, home essentials and general merchandise, as well as frequent orders placed through Flipkart Minutes.

The programme has been launched in collaboration with PayU Finance, the non-banking financial company (NBFC) arm of PayU, which will serve as the lending partner. While PayU Finance will handle lending operations, Flipkart Finance will leverage its commerce intelligence and customer insights to facilitate faster and more accurate credit decisions.

Commenting on the launch, Vishal Ahuja, Executive Director, Flipkart Finance, said, “Affordability remains the key driver of digital commerce in India. With Flipkart Pay Later, we are using a decade of commerce insights to build an underwriting model that expands access to credit at the moment it matters most. This is not just a payment feature, but a step towards building a financial services ecosystem that broadens participation in India’s digital economy.”

Deepak Mendiratta, CEO of PayU Finance, added, “By combining technology, data-driven underwriting and strong risk management, Flipkart Pay Later will help expand financial inclusion while supporting the next phase of India’s digital commerce growth.”

Flipkart said the credit model is built on transaction history, purchase behaviour and multiple data sources to ensure responsible lending and prudent risk management.
