IDA Ireland, the national investment agency supporting global businesses in Ireland, will participate in the NASSCOM Design & Engineering Summit 2026 in Bengaluru on September 1–2.

David Gaskin, VP – APAC, Technology, Content, Consumer and Business Services, IDA Ireland, and Kanishk Kumar, Country Director – India, IDA Ireland, will engage with India’s technology and engineering ecosystem to explore opportunities for deeper collaboration between Indian companies and Ireland.

Ireland continues to strengthen its capabilities across software, cloud, cybersecurity, AI, data analytics, semiconductors and digital transformation. The country is home to 16 of the world’s top 20 technology companies and employs more than 106,000 people in ICT, offering Indian companies access to specialised talent, R&D capabilities and the European market.

IDA Ireland’s 2025–29 strategy targets €7 billion in new RD&I investment, further strengthening Ireland’s proposition for companies seeking to develop and scale higher-value technology and engineering capabilities in Europe.

David Gaskin, Section Manager – APAC, Technology, Content, Consumer and Business Services, IDA Ireland, said, “Indian technology companies are increasingly expanding their ambitions from global delivery towards product engineering, innovation and higher-value R&D. Ireland offers a strong platform to establish and scale these capabilities within Europe, supported by its technology ecosystem, specialised talent and EU market access. We are pleased to be part of NASSCOM Design & Engineering Summit 2026, a highly regarded platform for the engineering community, and look forward to engaging with Indian companies on the opportunities emerging across AI, cloud, cybersecurity, software and advanced engineering.”

Kanishk Kumar, Country Director – India, IDA Ireland, said, “India and Ireland bring highly complementary strengths across technology, engineering and innovation, creating a strong foundation for deeper business engagement. As Indian companies look to expand their European footprint, Ireland can offer a combination of market access, an English-speaking business environment and an established ecosystem of global technology and R&D companies.”

Ireland also has a strong semiconductor ecosystem, with 20,000+ people, 100+ companies and 15 of the world’s top 30 semiconductor companies, spanning design, manufacturing, engineering and R&D.
