Welspun One is nearing completion of its World Trade Center (WTC) Thane development in Wagle Estate, with total investment expected to exceed Rs 1,000 crore, including tenant investments in spaces and fit-outs.
The project is expected to commence operations by the end of 2026 and support around 5,000 employees across its tenant ecosystem. It is currently 30% leased, with a further 20% of the area under offers to lease.
WTC Thane is positioned as an integrated urban destination combining Grade A offices, experience centres, food and beverage outlets and Urban Distribution Centres within a single development. The project is designed to accommodate large corporate offices and more than 50 retail and F&B brands.
As a licensee of the World Trade Center brand, the development will provide occupiers access to WTC membership benefits and the wider World Trade Centers Association global business network, spanning more than 300 properties across nearly 100 countries.
Designed by Architect Hafeez Contractor, the project features large-format spaces, automation-focused infrastructure and green-building elements.
“WTC Thane is envisioned as a first-of-its-kind urban commercial destination in India, bringing together workplace, experience-led retail and urban logistics within a single integrated development. As we move towards completion, WTC Thane is set to establish a new benchmark for how commercial spaces can be designed to serve businesses, brands and consumers in a growing urban market like Thane,” said Neeraj Balani, Chief Customer Officer, Welspun One.
Aditya Birla Group has leased space for its vault operations, while Welspun Group is also among the confirmed occupiers. Further announcements are expected as leasing progresses.
