NPCI Bharat BillPay Limited (NBBL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NPCI, announced that forex transactions through Bharat Connect crossed INR 100 million in value between April and July 2026.

The forex category, launched at the Global Fintech Fest 2025, integrates NBBL’s Bharat Connect platform with FX-Retail, developed by the Clearing Corporation of India Ltd. (CCIL), enabling customers to access transparent and competitive forex pricing through an interoperable digital ecosystem.

Bharat Connect processed forex transactions worth INR 27.06 million in FY 2025–26. In the first four months of FY 2026–27, transaction value reached INR 111.91 million, taking the cumulative value to INR 138.97 million.

The platform addresses challenges around limited price visibility and fragmented forex purchasing processes by enabling customers to compare live rates through regulated banking partners.

Participating billers include Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India and YES Bank. Customer-facing platforms include BHIM, Bank of Baroda, CRED, Federal Bank, MobiKwik, Punjab National Bank and State Bank of India.
