Bank of Baroda, one of India’s leading public sector banks, has launched bob World 2.0, its next-generation mobile banking application. The app was demonstrated to Shri Sanjay Lohiya, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, along with Dr. Debadatta Chand, Managing Director & CEO, Bank of Baroda, and the Bank’s Executive Directors at the Global Fintech Fest 2026 in Mumbai on 11 September.
bob World 2.0 marks the next phase of the Bank’s digital transformation journey, bringing together AI, personalisation, financial management and enhanced security on a single platform. Built on a modern microservices-based architecture, the platform is designed to support a unified digital banking ecosystem across mobile and internet banking channels.
Key features include voice-enabled payments and navigation, allowing customers to initiate transactions and access services through voice commands. Its Personal Financial Management module gives customers a consolidated view of their finances and tools to support financial wellness.
The app also offers hyper-personalised experiences for customer groups including senior citizens, women, NRIs and millennials, along with a multi-layered security framework for real-time protection.
Dr. Debadatta Chand, Managing Director & CEO, Bank of Baroda, said, “As banking becomes increasingly digital, customers expect experiences that are intuitive, intelligent, secure and highly personalised. With bob World 2.0, we have reimagined mobile banking around our customers’ needs, combining financial wellness tools, voice-enabled AI-driven engagement and personalised customer experiences on a single platform.”
