VinFast has officially entered the Indian market with the launch of its made-in-India premium electric SUVs – the VF 6 and VF 7. This marks the company’s first offering for India’s fast-growing EV segment, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable mobility and positioning itself as a key player in shaping India’s EV future.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Pham Sanh Chau, CEO of VinFast Asia, said: “This is a historic milestone – launching cars made in India, for Indians. Backed by our Thoothukudi facility and strong partnerships, we are committed to supporting India’s vision of becoming a global EV leader.”

  • VF 7: Larger SUV with up to 70.8 kWh battery, AWD options, and ARAI range up to 532 km. Available in five variants – Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky, Sky Infinity – with features like panoramic roof, ADAS Level 2, HUD, 19-inch alloys, and connected car technology.

Strong Ecosystem and Local Manufacturing

VinFast has partnered with RoadGrid, myTVS, Global Assure, and BatX Energies to build a nationwide charging, after-sales, and battery recycling ecosystem. The company plans 35 dealer touchpoints and 26 workshops across 27 cities by end-2025.

Core to its strategy is the Thoothukudi manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu, aligned with India’s “Make in India” vision and strategically located for both domestic and export markets.
