Renault India today announced the much-anticipated return of its legendary SUV — the Renault Duster — with an official unveiling slated for Republic Day, January 26, 2026.

First introduced in 2012, the Duster transformed India’s SUV market and became a benchmark for adventure and reliability. The new-generation Duster will be the first model launched under Renault’s “International Game Plan 2027”, marking a key milestone in the company’s “renault. rethink.” transformation strategy for India.

Stéphane Deblaise, CEO, Renault Group India, said, “The Duster is not just a vehicle, it’s a symbol of innovation and trust. Its return reinforces our commitment to India with a product that combines iconic heritage, modern design, and advanced technology.”

With over 1.8 million global customers and more than 200,000 in India, the Duster continues to enjoy cult status among SUV enthusiasts. Fans can now register for the waiting program, beginning today, as Renault gears up to bring back the country’s original SUV icon.
