Marwadi University has been selected as the host venue for the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for the Kutch–Saurashtra region, scheduled to be held on January 11–12, 2026. The conference is being organised by the Government of Gujarat as part of the Vibrant Gujarat initiative.
As part of its long-term commitment to strengthening Gujarat’s education ecosystem, Marwadi University has proposed a ₹1,000 crore investment MoU to the state’s Education Department. The proposed investment focuses on expanding advanced academic infrastructure, including new teaching blocks, high-end laboratories, sports facilities, modern hostels, a 10,000 sq. ft. innovation and start-up centre, and a dedicated block for continuing education catering to working professionals and entrepreneurs.
VGRC 2026 will be conducted across four zones of Gujarat—North, South, Central, and Saurashtra–Kutch—under the theme “Vocal for Local.” The conference is expected to attract international participation from countries such as Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, and the Netherlands, along with global institutions including JETRO, ICBC, USISPF, the World Bank, and representatives from the Russian Federation.
Commenting on the occasion, Dhruv Marwadi, Trustee, Marwadi University, said the university is proud to host the regional conference and provide a platform that brings together local enterprises, start-ups, policymakers, and global investors to collectively contribute to Gujarat’s growth journey and the vision of Viksit Bharat.
R.B. Jadeja, Provost, Marwadi University, added that hosting VGRC reflects the institution’s commitment to linking local capabilities with global opportunities, while supporting Gujarat’s ambition to emerge as a competitive and inclusive growth hub by 2047.
The two-day conference will feature seminars, exhibitions, MoU signings, B2B and B2G meetings, buyer–seller interactions, and vendor development programmes across sectors such as AI, sustainability, digital marketing, circular economy, auto and precision engineering, MSMEs, start-ups, tourism, culture, and food processing.
