The Wealth Company, part of the Pantomath Group, has announced the appointment of Balram Bhagat as Managing Partner – Products & Pension.

A seasoned leader with over three decades of experience in the pension and mutual fund industry, Mr. Bhagat was previously the founding CEO and Whole-time Director of UTI Pension Fund Ltd., where he played a key role in scaling the fund to over ₹4,00,000 crore in assets under management under the National Pension System. His tenure was marked by strong governance, product innovation, and multiple national and global recognitions.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Bhagat held senior roles at UTI Mutual Fund and led several financial inclusion and micro-pension initiatives, including state-level social security programmes aimed at expanding access to long-term savings.

Welcoming the appointment, Madhu Lunawat, Founder, MD & CEO, said Mr. Bhagat’s deep expertise in pension management and product strategy would significantly strengthen the firm’s institutional capabilities as it expands its retirement and investment offerings.

Commenting on his new role, Mr. Bhagat said he looks forward to contributing to the company’s next phase of growth by building scalable, purpose-led pension and investment solutions that support financial inclusion.

Mr. Bhagat holds an M.A. in Economics, an MBA in Marketing, is CAIIB qualified, and currently serves as an Independent Director on the board of LIC Mutual Fund.

If you want, I can further tighten this for financial dailies, HR/leadership columns, or pension & BFSI trade media.
