Axis Bank, in collaboration with Adda Education, has launched a structured Hire-Train-Deploy (HTD) programme to develop Relationship Managers (RMs) for its Commercial Banking Group (CBG). The initiative is aimed at strengthening the Bank’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) franchise, a key strategic focus area.

The programme is designed to create role-ready professionals through application-led training tailored to the specific requirements of SME banking. It combines structured classroom learning with practical simulations, real-world customer engagement scenarios, and detailed exposure to banking products, processes, and regulatory frameworks. The curriculum has been co-curated to align directly with CBG RM responsibilities, ensuring participants are deployment-ready from day one.

Speaking on the launch, Rajkamal Vempati, Group Executive & Head – Human Resources, Axis Bank, said, “The Hire-Train-Deploy programme enables us to build a strong, deployment-ready talent pipeline aligned to the evolving needs of our Commercial Banking business, while creating meaningful career pathways for aspiring professionals.”

Bimaljeet Bhasin, CEO, Skilling & Higher Education, Adda Education, added, “This initiative reflects our shared commitment to preparing Relationship Managers for complex, customer-facing roles through structured, industry-aligned training.”

Through this collaboration, Axis Bank aims to enhance RM capability in SME banking, scale its talent ecosystem, and support long-term business growth aligned with India’s broader skilling and employment priorities.
