Flipkart Minutes, the quick commerce platform from Flipkart, has crossed 1,000 micro fulfilment centres across more than 130 cities and 8,000 pincodes, reaching the milestone in less than two years since its launch in August 2024. The expansion has helped drive a five-fold increase in orders while strengthening the platform’s reach across metros as well as emerging markets.
Growth has been particularly strong in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where the business has scaled 42 times compared to the previous year. Over the past 12 months, Flipkart Minutes has expanded into more than 90 new cities, bringing quick commerce services to a wider customer base across the country.
Commenting on the milestone, Hemant Badri, SVP and Head – Supply Chain, AI Transformation, New Business, Customer Experience and ReCommerce, Flipkart Group, said, “Reaching 1,000 micro fulfilment centres reflects the growing adoption of quick commerce across India. We are witnessing strong momentum from Bharat markets, which are playing an increasingly important role in shaping the future of the category. Our focus remains on building a robust ecosystem that creates value for customers, sellers, brands, farmers and delivery partners.”
The platform is also witnessing changing consumer behaviour, with Gen Z emerging as its fastest-growing customer segment and accounting for over 40% of the customer base. Demand has expanded well beyond groceries into categories such as electronics, beauty, wellness and lifestyle.
Kunal Gupta, SVP and Head, Flipkart Minutes, added, “Quick commerce is increasingly becoming an everyday shopping habit for consumers. As category adoption broadens and purchase frequency rises, we remain focused on delivering greater convenience, wider selection and a seamless customer experience.”
Flipkart Minutes currently partners with over 500 D2C brands and supports more than 3,000 farmers through its farm-to-door sourcing initiatives, while continuing to strengthen sustainable deliveries through a growing electric vehicle fleet.
