Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation has enabled more than 50 GW of solar capacity across India and international markets, reinforcing its role in building the electrical infrastructure that supports the growing adoption of renewable energy.

The milestone reflects the company’s contribution across utility-scale solar parks, commercial and industrial projects, residential rooftops and solar manufacturing facilities. With more than seven decades of expertise in electrical infrastructure, Lauritz Knudsen has supported over 2,350 solar projects, partnered with more than 350 EPC companies and 300 developers, while training over 300 system integrators to strengthen India’s renewable energy ecosystem.

The company provides a comprehensive portfolio of AC and DC switchgear, medium-voltage solutions, smart metering and cloud-based remote monitoring technologies that help improve the safety, reliability and long-term performance of solar installations. Its solutions support the entire solar value chain, from power generation and evacuation to grid integration.

Commenting on the milestone, Naresh Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Lauritz Knudsen Electrical and Automation, said, “The true impact of the energy transition is measured by the difference it makes in people’s lives. Whether it is helping a farmer shift from diesel-powered irrigation or enabling reliable electricity for a household, solar energy delivers meaningful social and economic benefits. Crossing 50 GW is not only a reflection of scale but also of our commitment to making clean energy dependable, accessible and future-ready. We will continue to build technologies and infrastructure that support India’s renewable ambitions while extending the benefits of solar power to every segment of society.”

As India moves towards its goal of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030, Lauritz Knudsen remains focused on delivering advanced electrical solutions that strengthen grid reliability, accelerate renewable adoption and support the country’s long-term energy transition.
