SWITCH Mobility Ltd, part of the Hinduja Group and a manufacturer of electric buses and light commercial vehicles, has unveiled its all-new 9-metre electric bus, SWITCH EiV9, at Prawaas 5.0. The company also launched its #SwitchKaro campaign to encourage the adoption of cleaner mass transportation.
Designed for city transit, employee transportation and school mobility, the EiV9 focuses on operational efficiency, passenger comfort and lower total cost of ownership. The bus is built on a next-generation electric platform and offers multiple battery pack options to suit different routes and duty cycles.
The EiV9 is powered by a Permanent Magnet Variable Reluctance motor delivering peak power of up to 213 kW. It features regenerative braking and dual-gun CCS2 fast charging to support higher vehicle uptime and operational flexibility.

The EiV9 features full front and rear air suspension, ergonomic seating, individual USB charging points and optional pushback seats for staff transportation. Safety features include a Fire Detection and Suppression System and disc brakes on both axles.
SWITCH Mobility also showcased its enhanced EiV12 Intercity electric bus, featuring reclining seats, individual charging provisions, floor-mounted LFP batteries, dual-gun DC fast charging and SWITCH iON connected technology for real-time diagnostics and remote vehicle monitoring.
