YES BANK has reported a strong start to FY27, posting higher profitability, sustained business growth and improved asset quality in the first quarter ended June 30, 2026.
The Bank’s net profit rose 33.7 per cent year-on-year to ₹1,071 crore, while operating profit increased 25.5 per cent to ₹1,704 crore. Net Interest Income (NII) grew 17.5 per cent to ₹2,786 crore, reflecting continued momentum in the Bank’s core lending business.
Business growth remained healthy during the quarter, with total deposits rising 14.3 per cent year-on-year to ₹3.15 lakh crore, while net advances increased 18.3 per cent to ₹2.85 lakh crore. CASA deposits also grew 14.3 per cent, with the CASA ratio remaining stable at 32.7 per cent. Retail asset disbursements registered a robust 27.5 per cent year-on-year growth.
Asset quality continued to improve, with the Gross NPA ratio declining to 1.3 per cent and the Net NPA ratio remaining at 0.2 per cent. The Bank’s Provision Coverage Ratio stood at 81.7 per cent, among the highest in its peer group.
Commenting on the results, Vinay M. Tonse, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, YES BANK, said, “We have started FY27 on a strong note with healthy growth in profitability, steady margins and continued improvement in asset quality. Despite lower treasury gains, our core earnings remained strong, reflecting the resilience of our franchise. The quarter also saw important external validation through rating upgrades from Moody’s, CARE and ICRA, along with our inaugural international rating from S&P Global. Going forward, we remain focused on strengthening our core business, sustaining profitable growth and creating long-term value for all stakeholders.”
During the quarter, YES BANK received rating upgrades from Moody’s, CARE Ratings and ICRA, while S&P Global Ratings assigned the Bank its inaugural international credit rating of ‘BB+’ with a Stable outlook. The Bank was also included in the FTSE4Good Index Series for the fourth consecutive year and recognised as the ‘Most Sustainable Bank’ at the Business Today – India’s Most Sustainable Companies 2026 Awards.
