Samsung Electronics has completed a new HVAC manufacturing facility operated by FläktGroup, a Samsung company, in Pune, Maharashtra, strengthening its capabilities in AI data centre cooling and HVAC solutions for India and the Asia-Pacific region.

The facility is the first new FläktGroup manufacturing plant to become operational since Samsung completed its acquisition of the HVAC specialist in November 2025. Located near Mumbai and key logistics infrastructure, the plant will serve customers in India and across Asia-Pacific.

Samsung and FläktGroup held a ceremony at the facility on August 12, attended by Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Digital Appliance (DA) Business, David Dorney, CEO, FläktGroup, company executives and representatives from major customers.

Cheolgi Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of Digital Appliance (DA) Business, said:
“The completion of the production line in Pune, India, marks a significant milestone in expanding our HVAC supply beyond India to the broader Asia-Pacific region. By combining Samsung’s AI and platform technologies with FläktGroup’s HVAC expertise, we will deliver exceptional value to a diverse range of customers, including AI data centers.”

Spread across approximately 13,826 square metres, the facility moved from equipment installation to mass production in six months. FläktGroup plans to progressively increase annual production capacity to up to 6,500 HVAC units.

The Pune plant will manufacture Air Handling Units (AHUs), Fan Wall Units (FWUs) and Computer Air Handlers (CRAHs), serving AI data centres and other critical infrastructure.

Together with FläktGroup’s Greater Noida facility, the Pune plant will strengthen local manufacturing, improve customer responsiveness and support Samsung’s expansion across India and Asia-Pacific.
