Launches India’s first AI-powered automated Vehicle Scanner and ‘Service Select’ programme for 7+ year-old cars
Mercedes-Benz India today announced a range of customer-focused service initiatives aimed at enhancing convenience, transparency and value across the luxury ownership journey. The company introduced India’s first AI-powered automated Vehicle Scanner at the Landmark Cars service facility in Jogeshwari and launched ‘Service Select’, a loyalty programme offering savings on select parts for Mercedes-Benz cars that are seven years and older.
The Vehicle Scanner captures a 360-degree digital record of a vehicle’s exterior condition, identifies damage using AI and provides tyre intelligence, enabling faster and more transparent vehicle assessment.
“We aspire to be the ‘Mercedes of Service’ by questioning the status quo, challenging the existing servicing norms and steadily integrating AI and latest technology in creating customer convenience. WE are continuously enhancing service efficiency and adding incremental customer value at every touch point, by optimizing overall cost of ownership for our discerning customers. Introduction of India’s first AI driven, automated vehicle scanner marks an important step in the deployment of AI and automation for driving transparency, trust and efficiency, resulting in desirable customer ownership experience for Mercedes-Benz. While offerings like ‘Service Select’ optimizes TCO for existing customers, inaugurating Mumbai’s largest luxury service facility underlines our deep commitment for customers, who will be immensely benefitted from Mercedes-Benz’s service innovations and differentiation,” said Santosh Iyer, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.
‘Service Select’ offers savings of up to 25% on select parts, Mobilio Light benefits and a two-year warranty on parts, while supporting residual value through expert care.
Landmark Cars’ new facility spans approximately 58,000 sq. ft., with 16 preventive maintenance and general repair bays, nine body and paint bays and nine supporting bays. It is supported by a 6,000 sq. ft. spare-parts area and around 95 trained professionals.
