Pearson has launched Official PTE AI Practice, an AI-powered preparation tool designed to help test takers prepare for PTE Academic and PTE Core.
The tool enables learners to attempt mock tests and individual questions, receive immediate scoring and feedback, and access targeted guidance from an AI tutor highlighting areas for improvement. It uses official practice questions and scoring aligned with PTE’s official scoring traits.
“Feeling confident on test day is everything for a test taker,” said Sharon Hague, president of Pearson English Language Learning. “They want honest feedback, a realistic sense of test standards and a clear understanding of where to focus. We built Official PTE AI Practice so they can concentrate on exactly what they need, with an AI tutor guiding each step and a global leaderboard that lets them see how they compare across the PTE community.”
The launch comes as international education and mobility continue to drive demand for English-language preparation in India. More than 1.2 million Indian students were enrolled in higher education overseas in 2025, according to Ministry of External Affairs data cited by ICEF Monitor.

Official PTE AI Practice gives Indian test takers official questions, instant scoring and targeted feedback to prepare with clarity and confidence,” said Prabhul Ravindran, Regional Director, English Language Learning, Pearson South Asia.
“It is a valuable tool for both teachers and learners,” said Maria Gerges Wadiea, an English teacher who prepares students for PTE. “The feedback it provides is detailed and useful, and the AI offers practical tips that help improve performance.”
Official PTE AI Practice is currently available in India and China, with further markets planned from Q3 2026. The tool is free to start, with additional preparation activities available through flexible paid plans.
