Recruitment part of nationwide drive for 2,482 Local Bank Officers across 20 States and Union Territories
Bank of Baroda has announced the recruitment of 418 Local Bank Officers in Grade JMG/S-I in Karnataka on a regular basis, as part of its nationwide drive to appoint 2,482 Local Bank Officers across 20 States and Union Territories.
The recruitment initiative aims to create career opportunities for young banking professionals, strengthen the Bank’s local talent pool and enhance customer service across regional markets. Selected officers will be posted in the state for which they have applied for the first 12 years of service or until their promotion to SMGS-IV Grade, whichever is earlier.
The state-based posting will enable the Bank to build a workforce with local language proficiency and a strong understanding of regional markets and customer needs. This will support deeper customer relationships, improved service delivery and the Bank’s efforts to contribute to economic activity at the grassroots level.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Lal Singh, Executive Director, Bank of Baroda, said, “This recruitment drive represents an investment not only in our workforce, but also in the communities and economies we serve. By bringing in young banking professionals with strong local understanding and language capabilities, we are strengthening our ability to respond to the evolving needs of customers in different markets. At the same time, the initiative creates opportunities for local talent to build rewarding careers while contributing to the economic development of their respective states. This is aligned with our broader role as a public sector bank in advancing inclusive growth and creating sustainable employment opportunities.”
Candidates aged 21-30 years with a graduation degree and at least one year of post-qualification officer-level experience in an eligible Scheduled Commercial Bank can apply. Applicants must be proficient in the local language of the state. Applications are open until September 7, 2026.
