New electric scooter combines performance, practical storage, connected technology and premium design

BGauss, the design and engineering-led electric mobility company, today launched the C12 MaxR, a new electric scooter designed to combine range, performance, durability, technology and everyday practicality.

The C12 MaxR is built on BGauss’ WSA Platform, engineered using high-tensile micro-alloy steel and robotic manufacturing processes, with a claimed life of up to 150,000 km. It is powered by a 3.8 kWh IP67-rated LFP battery with an aluminium enclosure and a Battery Management System featuring 110 safety and protection features. The scooter delivers an IDC-certified range of 178 km.

Its new HyperZen in-wheel hyperdrive motor platform produces 4.2 kW of peak power and enables a top speed of 75+ km/h. The integrated architecture combines the motor, gear transmission, braking system and Motor Control Unit.

Hemant Kabra, Founder, BGauss, said, “Over the last six years, we have been focused on building electric mobility around the Indian consumer, and the C12 MaxR brings that philosophy together in one product. We wanted to create a scooter that delivers on the fundamentals of range, performance and reliability, but also recognises that today’s consumer expects much more from their vehicle. Space, design, lighting, technology and pride of ownership are equally important. The C12 MaxR is our expression of what a complete electric scooter should be. It is engineered for everyday India, while designed to make every ride feel special.”

The scooter offers Eco, Ride and Sport modes, reverse mode, cruise control and regenerative braking, with 18±2° gradeability.

Its LifeEasy storage system includes space for two helmets, a pop-out umbrella holder, wireless charging, document storage and a large floorboard. A 5-inch TFT display provides navigation, notifications, ride statistics and other connected features.

The C12 MaxR also gets 12-inch alloy wheels, 160 mm ground clearance, front disc braking and adjustable rear suspension. It will be available in four colour combinations through BGauss dealerships across India.
