GEML records 2,645 registrations in September 2026, takes No. 5 position with 4.6% market share

Greaves Electric Mobility (GEML) has entered India’s Top 5 electric two-wheeler manufacturers, recording 2,645 registrations between September 1 and 9, 2026, according to VAHAN data. GEML secured a 4.6% market share, moving to No. 5 and surpassing Ola Electric, which recorded 2,607 registrations and a 4.5% share during the same period.

GEML’s volumes grew 66% month-on-month from 1,597 units in August, significantly ahead of the overall E2W market, which grew 33% to 57,505 units during the comparable period. The company also gained 0.9 percentage points in market share, from 3.7% in August to 4.6% in September.

The performance builds on strong momentum in Q1 FY’27, when GEML recorded 101% year-on-year growth in E2W volumes and achieved a 5.6% market share in June 2026.

GEML’s growth has been supported by its ‘Built for Bharat’ portfolio, including the Nexus EX+, Magnus Neo, Reo Vyb and Magnus GMax, which was recognised as Family Scooter of the Year. The company has also continued to expand its retail and financing ecosystem while investing in technology and customer experience.

Alongside volume and market-share growth, GEML is focused on improving operating efficiencies, reducing cash burn and strengthening business fundamentals as it progresses towards profitability.
