L&T Semiconductor Technologies Limited (LTSCT), an Indian fabless semiconductor company, and Tata Electronics have announced a strategic partnership to expand indigenous chip manufacturing in India for domestic and global customers.
The collaboration will combine LTSCT’s semiconductor design expertise with Tata Electronics’ manufacturing, packaging and foundry capabilities. The companies will jointly explore fabrication and packaging opportunities for LTSCT’s existing and future products, covering automotive, industrial, communications, security and intelligent-edge applications.
The partnership will also focus on optimising chip designs for fabrication, with an emphasis on manufacturing efficiency, reliability, scalability and faster time-to-market.

The partnership aligns with the Government of India’s “Manufacture in India – for India and for the World” vision and supports domestic ecosystem development under Semicon 2.0. Both companies aim to advance packaging technologies, manufacturing excellence and quality systems, strengthening India’s role in the global semiconductor industry.
