1.3 lakh notebooks distributed across 114 schools with the participation of 876 employee volunteers

Karnataka: Aequs Foundation, the CSR arm of the Aequs Group, has distributed nearly 1.3 lakh notebooks to government school students around its campuses this year through its annual ‘One Precious Notebook’ campaign.

The initiative reached 114 schools, benefiting over 19,000 students. A record 876 Aequs employees volunteered their time to personally distribute the notebooks, with the campaign receiving widespread participation from employees and school administrations.

Akkamahadevi Melligeri, Chairperson, Aequs Foundation, said, “The ‘One Precious Notebook’ campaign is a testament to the Foundation’s unwavering commitment to education and community development. By alleviating financial burdens on families, the initiative fosters a culture of learning and sheds light on the challenges faced by underserved students. Through this powerful effort Aequs Foundation continues to instil hope and ambition for a future where education is the cornerstone of a fair and just society.”

Adding a personal touch, Aequs employees wrote individual messages for students on the last page of each notebook, making the initiative an opportunity to share encouragement alongside educational support.

This year’s campaign also featured notebook covers inspired by drawings created by children of Aequs employees who participated in a drawing competition. The designs brought together the creativity of employees’ families and the campaign’s focus on education.

Through ‘One Precious Notebook’, Aequs Foundation continues to support underserved students by easing the financial burden of educational supplies and encouraging a culture of learning and aspiration.
