‘Kothaye Jaabe Dada?’ campaign brings festive offers to the city’s buses and bus tickets
Flipkart is bringing the excitement of Big Billion Days to Kolkata through ‘Kothaye Jaabe Dada?’, a city-wide activation inspired by the city’s iconic bus culture.
The campaign draws on the familiar association between BBD Bagh, formerly known as Dalhousie Square, and the buses that travel to the busy city hub. Flipkart has turned this everyday connection into a playful celebration of its flagship shopping festival.
As part of the activation, select buses travelling to and through BBD Bagh feature Big Billion Days messaging. Bus tickets carry sale offers and QR codes that passengers can scan to explore the deals. The initiative brings Flipkart’s ‘Luck Badal Sakta Hai, Yahan Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai’ proposition into Kolkata’s daily commute.
The campaign also features a film centred on a bus conductor whose working life revolves around calling out “BBD! BBD!” as he announces the BBD Bagh route. Through humorous moments, the film follows how the familiar announcement takes on a new meaning when Big Billion Days arrives.
With offer-led tickets, passenger interactions and route-style announcements, the campaign connects the city’s everyday bus journeys with the festive shopping season.
Conceptualised by Talented and produced by Calm Kaam, the campaign brings Flipkart’s Big Billion Days message to life through a distinctly Kolkata experience.
