Jio has introduced JioShield, a family safety solution designed to help parents stay connected with their children and elderly family members, both outside the home and online.
JioShield is available at ₹1,000 for a year, equivalent to ₹83 per month. As part of Jio’s 10th anniversary offer, customers will receive a ₹1,000 Jio recharge voucher, making the annual subscription effectively free.
JioShield offers features including location tracking and safety alerts, SOS alerts, screen-time management, app and contact controls, and low-battery alerts. The service connects the parent and child/elderly member through two linked apps.
Parents can use the JioThings app, while the JioShield app is installed on the child’s phone. Once linked, parents can manage screen time, apps and contacts, track location and receive safety alerts.
The anniversary offer also includes 12 months of Canva Pro worth ₹4,000 and an unlimited 5G upgrade for 28 days.
The child’s device must be an Android smartphone running Android 10 or above with an active Jio number. Both parent and child need to register using Jio numbers.
JioShield’s ₹1,000 anniversary offer is available to eligible customers from September 26, 2026.
