Milestone marks halfway point towards the Foundation’s goal of creating five lakh job opportunities by 2030.
Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic and CSR arm of Infosys, announced that its Infosys Springboard Livelihood Program has enabled over 2.5 lakh job offers across India, reaching halfway towards its goal of creating five lakh job opportunities by 2030.
Launched last year, the programme works with 20 implementation partners, including Nirmaan Organization, ICT Academy, Magic Bus, Centum Foundation and Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (India). It has facilitated over 1.17 lakh job offers for graduates and more than 96,000 for undergraduates. Women have received over 1.25 lakh job offers, while more than 1,000 offers have been enabled for Persons with Disabilities. The Foundation has also partnered with AssisTech Foundation for its employment platform and will work with The Association of People with Disability to expand career access.
Sumit Virmani, Trustee, Infosys Foundation, said, “At Infosys Foundation, we believe the true success of education is not the number of people skilled, but the number of lives meaningfully transformed through employment. Reaching the halfway milestone of our 2030 goal with 2.5 lakh job offers demonstrates what is possible when learning is closely aligned to industry demand. Beyond livelihoods, this milestone represents greater economic independence, social mobility, and opportunities for individuals and families to build a more secure future. We remain committed to enabling access to future-ready skills, inclusive employment opportunities, and pathways for more young people to participate meaningfully in India’s growth story.”
V. Srikanth, CEO, ICT Academy, highlighted the importance of linking industry-relevant skills with employment, particularly for first-generation learners and underserved youth.
Mayur Patnala, Founder, Chairperson & Global CEO, Nirmaan Organization, said the programme is helping young people from underserved communities build skills, workplace readiness and confidence to pursue sustainable careers.
