The service offers flexible storage for general and temperature-controlled cargo, with rentals starting from one day.

Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS) has introduced a Short-Term Warehousing (STW) solution at its BLR Logistics Park to meet the temporary storage needs of freight forwarders, shippers and businesses.

The service caters to general and temperature-controlled cargo, allowing customers to book storage for as little as one day without long-term lease commitments. It is suited to urgent shipments, seasonal cargo peaks and specialised consignments, including oversized equipment and pharmaceutical ingredients.

Spread across eight acres near Bengaluru airport, the integrated facility offers Grade A warehousing, a customs-bonded warehouse, a consolidation centre, cold storage, office spaces and value-added logistics services. Customers can also access cargo inter-shuttle services, packing, labelling, manpower and forklift support. Its proximity to the airport and NH44 helps reduce transit time and transportation costs.

The facility has attracted logistics companies including DHL, DSV, FedEx, Kuehne+Nagel and CEVA Logistics. AISATS said the Logistics Park has reached 70% occupancy and is on track to achieve full occupancy within its first year.

Salim Chaudhary, Chief Operations Officer, AISATS, said, “The AISATS BLR Logistics Park was developed to address Bengaluru’s evolving air cargo and logistics requirements through world-class, integrated infrastructure. The response from the market has been extremely encouraging, with occupancy already reaching 70%, reflecting the strong value proposition and cost efficiencies the facility offers. As cargo volumes grow, we are witnessing increasing demand for flexible storage solutions, particularly for urgent, short-duration and specialised cargo requirements. Our Short-term Warehousing Solution has been introduced to address this need, enabling freight forwarders and shippers to access premium warehousing infrastructure on demand, without the constraints of long-term commitments. As the cargo ecosystem continues to expand, AISATS remains committed to delivering agile, customer-centric logistics solutions that enhance supply chain efficiency and support the region’s growth trajectory.”

The facility is positioned to serve sectors including electronics, semiconductors, engineering, aerospace and pharmaceuticals.
