Crisil Limited has entered into a strategic partnership with the Wadhwani School of AI & Intelligent Systems (WSAIS) at IIT Kanpur to deepen collaboration in artificial intelligence and intelligent systems. The memorandum of understanding aims to strengthen industry-academia engagement and build capabilities aligned with evolving technological demands.

As part of the collaboration, a Crisil Lecture Series will be introduced, bringing together industry leaders and academic experts to share insights on AI, cybersecurity, robotics, and other emerging technologies. Additionally, a Crisil Student Award will be presented annually at the IIT Kanpur Convocation to recognise outstanding academic performance in the Department of Intelligent Systems.

“Our partnership with IIT Kanpur is an exemplar of industry-academia collaboration that supports student learning and develops talent equipped to meet the challenges of emerging technologies,” said Pooja Mirchandani, President & CHRO, Crisil.

Crisil will also explore continued engagement through internships, recruitment initiatives, and opportunities for students to work on real-world, industry-relevant problems.

“We are excited to partner with Crisil Limited. This collaboration will provide our students with valuable industry exposure and opportunities to work on real-world AI challenges,” said Prof. Nitin Saxena, Dean, WSAIS.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to nurturing future-ready talent and accelerating innovation in AI and intelligent systems.
