Tata Power has crossed a significant milestone in India’s electric mobility journey, enabling more than 414 million green miles through its EV charging network while facilitating over 7.5 lakh charging sessions across the country. The achievement has helped avoid nearly 50,000 tonnes of CO₂ tailpipe emissions, reinforcing the role of electric mobility in reducing the environmental impact of transportation.
The company currently operates over 5,500 public charging points across more than 700 cities and towns, providing charging access at highways, workplaces, commercial destinations, residential communities and urban centres. To support EV owners further, Tata Power has also installed over 2.3 lakh home chargers in partnership with leading automobile manufacturers, offering a convenient charging experience beyond public infrastructure.
Strengthening its presence across major mobility corridors, Tata Power EZ Charge is inaugurating new charging stations at Kopa Mall in Pune, Indian Oil locations on both sides of the Ahmedabad–Vadodara Expressway, and a Shapoorji Pallonji Mini Hub in Kolkata featuring six charging guns. These facilities are expected to improve charging accessibility for both city commuters and long-distance travellers.
The milestone comes amid strong growth in India’s electric vehicle market. EV sales crossed 2.55 million units in FY2026, with all vehicle segments recording double-digit growth. As demand for cleaner and cost-effective transportation rises, Tata Power continues to expand its charging infrastructure, helping build a reliable and accessible ecosystem that supports India’s transition to sustainable mobility.
