AirAsia Group has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Board of Counsellors Malaysia (BOC) to strengthen its emergency preparedness and crisis response capabilities across its regional operations.
The agreement brings professional psychosocial support into the Group’s humanitarian assistance framework, ensuring timely care for employees, passengers, survivors, victims and family members during emergencies. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Yang Berhormat Lim Hui Ying, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Malaysia, and Captain Saravanan Subramaniam, Chief Safety & Quality Officer at AirAsia Group.
Under the partnership, both organisations will work together on emergency response planning, deployment of registered counsellors, psychosocial first aid, simulation exercises and specialised training programmes for AirAsia personnel.

As part of the agreement, AirAsia Group will provide transportation and logistical support for counsellors deployed during emergencies, training programmes and simulation exercises, further enhancing operational readiness and resilience across its network.
