Renault India has launched the New Renault Kwid with a refreshed design, simplified variant line-up and revised pricing aimed at making first-car ownership easier and more accessible.
The updated Kwid features Renault’s new brand identity and is now available in two variants—Evolution and Climber. Prices start at ₹4.52 lakh and go up to ₹5.60 lakh, depending on the variant and transmission option. Customers purchasing the Climber variant through Renault India’s online sales platform can avail a ₹15,000 cash benefit, bringing its effective transactional price to ₹4.99 lakh.
Commenting on the announcement, Francisco Hidalgo, VP – Sales and Marketing, Renault India, said, “For millions of Indians, owning their first car remains an important milestone. With a growing aspirational middle class and many two-wheeler owners looking to upgrade, first-car ownership continues to be a strong aspiration. More than 4.5 lakh customers have begun their car ownership journey with the Kwid. With the New Kwid, we are building on this trust by making the offering simpler, clearer and more relevant.”
Since its India debut in 2015, the Renault Kwid has combined SUV-inspired styling with practical features for urban customers. The refreshed model offers 184 mm ground clearance, 279 litres of boot space, 17 standard safety features, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital LED instrument cluster and rear-view camera.
Powered by a 1.0-litre petrol engine, the Kwid is available with five-speed manual and Easy-R AMT transmission options. The refreshed range is available across Renault dealerships in India and through the company’s online sales platform.
