Tata Power reported a consolidated profit after tax (PAT) of ₹1,401 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, registering an 11% year-on-year growth. Revenue rose 8% to ₹18,898 crore, while EBITDA increased 8% to ₹4,249 crore, supported by strong performances across its generation, transmission and distribution, and renewable energy businesses.

The company also recorded its highest-ever quarterly capital expenditure of ₹5,375 crore, reflecting its continued investments in clean energy, grid infrastructure and domestic manufacturing.

The core businesses delivered double-digit growth, with revenue and EBITDA rising 12% each and PAT growing 14%. The renewables business reported a PAT of ₹612 crore, up 15%, while the solar cell and module manufacturing business posted a PAT of ₹371 crore, nearly four times higher than the year-ago period. Rooftop solar operations also recorded strong growth, with PAT rising 1.7 times to ₹145 crore.

Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO and Managing Director, Tata Power, said, “India’s energy sector is entering its next phase of transformation where the focus is shifting to delivering reliable, round-the-clock clean energy. At Tata Power, we have positioned ourselves ahead of this curve through our integrated renewable portfolio. With more than ₹5,000 crore deployed towards capex during the quarter, we have begun FY27 with a strong project implementation roadmap.”

During the quarter, Tata Power expanded its renewable portfolio to 12 GW, including 5.3 GW under implementation, while manufacturing over 1 GW of solar modules and 862 MW of solar cells, its highest-ever quarterly production. The company also strengthened its transmission portfolio, advanced pumped hydro storage projects, expanded rooftop solar installations to 5.2 GWp, and widened its EV charging network to over 2.4 lakh home chargers and 5,900 public charging points across 717 cities and towns.

The company said its diversified clean energy portfolio and continued infrastructure investments position it well for sustained growth in the coming quarters.
