Bengaluru has emerged as the frontrunner in India’s growing demand for home interior services, according to the latest data released by Justdial Limited. An analysis comparing search trends from March 2025–February 2026 with the same period in the previous year indicates a sharp rise in consumer interest, driven by evolving lifestyle preferences and a stronger focus on home aesthetics and functionality.
Searches for interior designers across India witnessed a 21% year-on-year increase, reflecting a growing inclination towards professional design expertise and customized home solutions. Among major cities, Bengaluru recorded the highest surge at 67%, significantly outpacing other metros. Delhi followed with a 49% increase, while Mumbai saw a 35% rise. Pune and Hyderabad also reported steady growth at 20% and 18% respectively, highlighting widespread demand across urban centres.
Bengaluru’s strong growth underscores its position as a key market for interior design services, fueled by a rising urban population, increased disposable income, and a preference for modern, well-designed living spaces.
In addition to interior design services, searches for modular kitchen dealers grew by 6% nationwide, indicating sustained consumer interest in efficient and contemporary kitchen solutions. Bengaluru again stood out with a 33% increase in searches, second only to Delhi, which led with a 46% rise. Pune recorded a 22% growth, while Mumbai saw a modest increase of 7%.
Overall, the data points to a clear shift in consumer behavior, with Bengaluru leading the transformation towards professionally designed, functional, and aesthetically appealing homes.
