Virohan, India’s leading healthcare education company, has launched the Virohan Women in Healthcare Initiative, a ₹2 crore scholarship program aimed at increasing female participation in healthcare education and preparing talent for a rapidly evolving, technology-driven healthcare ecosystem.
Under the initiative, every eligible female student enrolling through Virohan in healthcare programs across 20+ partner universities and colleges will receive a scholarship starting at ₹50,000. Students scoring 75% and above in Class 12 will be eligible for ₹1,00,000, while those securing 90% and above can avail scholarships of up to ₹2,00,000, adjusted directly against program fees.
As healthcare systems increasingly adopt AI-powered diagnostics, digital health platforms, and data-driven patient care, the demand for skilled healthcare professionals is growing at an unprecedented pace. The initiative seeks to ensure that more women are equipped to participate in and lead this transformation.
Commenting on the launch, Nalin Saluja, Co-founder and CTO, Virohan, said, “Healthcare is undergoing a fundamental transformation driven by technology, AI, and innovation. While these advancements are reshaping patient care globally, people will continue to remain at the heart of healthcare delivery. Through the Virohan Women in Healthcare Initiative, we aim to remove financial barriers and encourage more women to pursue meaningful healthcare careers. India has immense talent, and by combining quality education with emerging technologies, we can build a future-ready workforce that serves both domestic and global healthcare needs.”
Students can access healthcare programs through Virohan at leading institutions including UPES, CMR University, KIET, Silver Oak University, Lingaya’s Vidyapeeth, and others. Applications for the scholarship are now open.
