Biocon Academy, the advanced learning and skilling initiative of Biocon Limited, celebrated its 10th Graduation Ceremony at its Bengaluru campus, with 156 students graduating across five industry-focused bioscience programs.
The graduating cohort represented seven batches from programs including Biosciences, Global Regulatory Affairs, Quality Control Analytical, Applied Industrial Microbiology, and Sterile Manufacturing. Notably, women accounted for 70% of the graduating class, reflecting the growing participation of women in biotechnology and life sciences.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chief Mentor of Biocon Academy and Executive Chairperson of Biocon Limited; Dr. E.V. Ramana Reddy, IAS (Retd.), Chairman, Karnataka Skill Development Authority; and Group Captain Prasanth Nair, Astronaut (Gaganyaatri), ISRO. Seven students were honoured with Gold Medals for Academic Excellence.
As part of its commitment to aligning education with evolving industry needs, Biocon Academy has introduced new programs in Artificial Intelligence in Life Sciences and Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics, further expanding its future-focused curriculum.

Since its inception in 2013, Biocon Academy has trained more than 1,300 students through industry-integrated programs developed in partnership with leading academic institutions in India and abroad.
