Electric mobility platform Yulu has enabled over 12,000 women home service professionals across 12 cities to access affordable transportation, helping them expand work opportunities and improve daily productivity.
Women working as home cleaners, meal preparation professionals and laundry service providers often depend on efficient mobility to travel between service hubs and customers’ homes. Yulu’s EV rental and battery-swapping ecosystem provides access to lightweight, speed-capped electric vehicles, with maintenance and battery-swapping costs included.
According to the company, access to its EVs enables women professionals to take up 25–30% more assignments daily, supporting higher and more consistent earnings.
Amit Gupta, Co-founder and CEO, Yulu, said, “Access to a vehicle often spells the difference between being dependent on family and having an additional income stream that unlocks independence and dignity. Yulu’s platform lowers that barrier by providing simple, affordable access to EVs, allowing service professionals to complete more assignments, earn more consistently and work on their own terms.”
Yulu has supported more than 5.5 lakh delivery partners and gig workers across India to date. The company said many workers have increased their incomes by 30–40% after switching from petrol-powered two-wheelers to its EV platform.
