Ampere, the electric two-wheeler brand of Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML), has partnered with Muthoot Capital Services Ltd. to make electric vehicle ownership more affordable and accessible across India through flexible retail financing solutions.

The partnership will offer financing for Ampere’s entire range of electric scooters, enabling customers across urban and emerging markets to purchase EVs through convenient repayment options. The initiative is aimed at addressing affordability challenges for salaried professionals, self-employed individuals, gig workers and small business owners, supporting wider adoption of electric mobility.

Manoj M. P., Chief Business Officer, Greaves Electric Mobility, said, “At Ampere, our focus has always been on making mobility accessible, affordable and practical for every Indian customer. Financing plays a crucial role in supporting EV buyers. Through our partnership with Muthoot Capital Services, we aim to remove financial barriers, offer seamless ownership solutions and accelerate the adoption of clean mobility across Bharat.”

Mathews Markose, CEO, Muthoot Capital Services Ltd., said, “As India transitions towards cleaner transportation, financing will play a pivotal role in expanding EV adoption beyond metropolitan cities. By combining Ampere’s electric mobility portfolio with our retail financing expertise and nationwide reach, we aim to deliver transparent and affordable financing solutions that enable more customers to embrace electric mobility with confidence.”

Backed by Greaves Cotton’s 165-year legacy, GEML continues to strengthen its electric mobility ecosystem through an expanding product portfolio, dealer network and strategic partnerships. The collaboration with Muthoot Capital is expected to support dealer growth, improve customer access through over 500 touchpoints across the country and contribute to faster adoption of sustainable mobility solutions.
