AU Small Finance Bank (AU SFB) has revised interest rates on its Foreign Currency Non-Resident [FCNR(B)] Deposits and Non-Resident External (NRE) Fixed Deposits, effective July 27, 2026, further strengthening its banking offerings for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs).

The bank has increased the peak interest rate on FCNR(B) deposits from 7.10% to 7.40% per annum for the three to four-year tenure. The peak rate on NRE Fixed Deposits has also been revised from 7.00% to 7.60% per annum for deposits with a tenure of 36 months and one day to 45 months.

The revision follows the Reserve Bank of India’s June 8, 2026 notification that allows banks greater flexibility to offer competitive foreign currency deposit rates. FCNR(B) deposits continue to provide NRIs with protection against currency fluctuations while ensuring full repatriability of principal and interest. NRE Fixed Deposits, meanwhile, offer tax-free interest income in India, subject to applicable regulations, along with full repatriability.

In addition to the enhanced deposit rates, AU SFB continues to offer zero forex margin and zero bank charges on eligible inward and outward remittances. The bank says it remains the only private sector bank in India to eliminate embedded forex mark-ups, enabling customers to transact at the Interbank Reference Rate without additional conversion charges.

Customers can access these offerings through AU SFB’s branch network and digital platforms, including the AU 0101 App, WhatsApp Banking and 24×7 Video Banking, allowing NRIs to manage their banking needs remotely.
