Philanthropy Asia Alliance (PAA), a Temasek Trust initiative focused on advancing collaborative philanthropy across Asia, today announced that Dasra will join the Alliance as a network partner. PAA and its funder members have also announced support for India-based impact ventures Rocket Learning and Frontier Innovations’ She Leads Bharat: Udyam, to scale solutions in early childhood education and women’s economic empowerment.
The developments strengthen PAA’s engagement in India, bringing new expertise and partnerships into its network while directing philanthropic capital towards locally developed solutions with potential for wider impact.

PAA’s role is to bring our members’ funding and networks into India, while giving Indian organisations a route into partnerships across the rest of Asia and the Global South. By deepening those connections, we can help proven models reach millions more people.”
Dasra brings an extensive grassroots network built through its work with Indian philanthropic families, foundations, nonprofits and wealth advisers. The partnership will connect Dasra’s network, including its GivingPi family philanthropy platform, with PAA’s reach across Southeast Asia. Joint convenings are planned through Dasra Philanthropy Week and the India Philanthropy Forum.

Rocket Learning will use PAA funding to expand its early-learning model in Uttar Pradesh and Odisha and enter Southeast Asia for the first time. The nonprofit has reached six million children across 15 states and union territories in five years.
