New dairy ice cream brand offers authentic dairy ingredients at accessible prices

Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the FMCG arm of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), has announced its entry into India’s ice cream market with the launch of Bombay Creamery, a new accessible premium dairy brand.

Backed by RCPL’s national distribution network, retail presence and consumer insights, Bombay Creamery marks the company’s long-term commitment to the ice cream category. The brand is positioned around the promise of authentic dairy ingredients and consistent quality, in line with RCPL’s proposition of ‘Global Quality at Affordable Price’.

Bombay Creamery ice creams are made with real dairy cream and are available across a range of formats, including cones, cups, tubs, bars and sticks. Prices start at ₹10, making the portfolio accessible to a wide range of consumers.

T Krishnakumar, Director, Reliance Consumer Products Limited, said, “We built Bombay Creamery around one simple idea that dairy shouldn’t need shortcuts. RCPL is not just entering the ice cream category — we’re committing to it. Made with real dairy cream, Bombay Creamery guarantees the promise of genuine taste of a real ice cream every single time, at a price every Indian family can afford.”

The launch will initially focus on Western India, where Bombay Creamery ice creams are now available. RCPL plans to expand the brand’s presence across the country in the coming months.

With the launch, RCPL aims to combine its distribution and retail capabilities with a dairy-focused product proposition to address growing consumer demand for quality ice cream at affordable price points. Bombay Creamery is positioned as India’s first accessible premium dairy brand, offering consumers a combination of authentic dairy ingredients, varied formats and accessible pricing.
