Bengaluru: Mahindra has launched its 180 kW ultra-fast Charge_IN network in Bengaluru, marking the first step in its plan to install 1,000 high-speed charging points across India by 2027. The first stations are now operational at Hoskote on the Bengaluru–Chennai highway (NH 75) and at Murthal on NH 44 near Delhi, each equipped to charge four EVs simultaneously.
As part of its strategy to strengthen India’s EV infrastructure, Mahindra will set up 250 charging stations housing dual-gun 180 kW chargers designed for rapid public charging of four-wheelers. The Charge_IN network can charge Mahindra’s XEV 9e, BE 6 and upcoming XEV 9S from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes, supporting long-distance travel with real-world ranges of 500 km.
“Long journeys with electric vehicles must be as convenient and reliable as conventional driving,” said Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. “Through Charge_IN, we aim to build a fast, accessible and brand-agnostic charging backbone for India.”
Charge_IN stations will be placed along key highways and co-located with rest-stop amenities. Mahindra owners can discover, charge and pay through the Me4U app, while EV users of all brands can access the network through the Charge_IN by Mahindra app and other aggregator platforms. The Me4U app currently provides access to around 34,000 public charging points across operators.
