IndusInd Bank has gone live with its next-generation UPI processing platform, marking a significant upgrade to its real-time payments infrastructure. The new system, branded UPI 6.0 and built by Mindgate Solutions, is designed on a hyper-scalable, cloud-ready architecture to deliver faster, more resilient digital payment experiences.

The Bank becomes the first private sector bank in India to deploy this next-gen platform on the cloud for both Issuer and Acquirer services. The upgrade offers 30% faster recovery time objectives (RTO) and up to 75% higher scalability headroom compared to the existing infrastructure.

The platform delivers sub-second response times, near-zero technical declines, and seamless disaster recovery within minutes. These enhancements are expected to ensure uninterrupted transaction processing and operational continuity, even during peak transaction volumes.

Ravi Pangal, Chief Information Officer, IndusInd Bank, said, “The next-generation UPI processing platform strengthens our commitment to delivering speed, resilience, and trust in every transaction. It aligns with our Digital 2.0 vision of building a future-ready, intelligent banking ecosystem that serves customers, merchants, and enterprises in real time.”

With this launch, IndusInd Bank reinforces its digital-first strategy, focused on creating secure, intuitive, and scalable banking experiences. The move supports India’s rapidly expanding real-time payments ecosystem by enabling reliable, high-performance transactions for millions of users nationwide.
